Manufacturing capacity

Built to keep a bulk programme supplied, not to fill one-off orders

Buyers do not lose money on a single late shipment. They lose it when a supplier cannot repeat the same delivery month after month.

Go Green Exports runs pressing, screening, washing and packing operations at Kahawala Estate, Bingiriya, and expanded its manufacturing base again in 2022 with the establishment of Premium Coco Substrates (Pvt) Ltd. That capacity is what stands behind a recurring container programme — and it is the reason the National Chamber of Exporters placed us in the Large Category when it awarded us Gold for export performance in 2023.

  • Two manufacturing companies
Go Green Exports (2015) and Premium Coco Substrates (2022).
  • Multiple parallel press lines
Hydraulic presses producing blocks, briquettes, cubes, discs and low-compression bags.
  • Release inspection before dispatch
Nothing ships until it has passed final quality assurance under our ISO 9001:2015 system.

Why international buyers choose Go Green

What a serious buyer is actually assessing

Before a first container is ordered, a procurement team is answering six questions about a supplier. Here are our answers.

01

Capacity for recurring bulk orders

Two manufacturing companies — Go Green Exports and Premium Coco Substrates, established 2022 — operating pressing, screening and packing lines built for container-scale output rather than sample runs.

02

Specification consistency, batch to batch

An ISO 9001:2015 certified management system with defined raw-material standards, in-process checks and a final release inspection before anything is approved for dispatch.

03

Low-EC and washed material

Washed and unwashed grades, with low-EC substrate as our standard horticultural offer — our 200 L coir substrate is packed at pH 5.5–6.8 and EC below 0.5 mS/cm (1:1.5 wet method).

04

Private label and custom formats

Pack size, compression format, blend ratio, case configuration and printed artwork produced to your programme, under your brand or ours.

05

Export and documentation experience

Exporting since 2015 to more than 50 markets, with in-house coordination of shipment documentation, container arrangements and freight routing.

06

Named regional contacts

Four regional export desks — Europe & Africa, Middle East, North & South America, Asia Pacific & CIS — so buyers reach a person, not a general inbox.

From raw material to global shipment

Six controlled stages between a coconut husk and your port

01

Raw material sourcing

Coconut husk is sourced from selected Sri Lankan suppliers and assessed against defined input standards before it is accepted into production. Only material that meets specification enters the line.

02

Processing & screening

Husk is decorticated and separated into pith and fibre, then screened to the particle grade the product calls for — peat, chip, or a specified peat-and-chip blend.

03

Washing & EC control

Washed grades are rinsed to bring electrical conductivity into the band the buyer has specified. Low-EC material is our standard offer for horticultural substrates.

04

Quality testing

Batches are checked against the parameters that matter to the specification — moisture, electrical conductivity, pH, particle size, expansion, weight and pack condition — under our ISO 9001:2015 management system.

05

Compression & packing

Hydraulic presses compress material into blocks, briquettes, cubes, discs and low-compression bags. Packs are printed to our own brand or to buyer artwork for private-label programmes.

06

Container loading & export

Finished goods are palletised, loaded and documented for export. Our logistics team compares vessel schedules and routings to quote a competitive CNF price to the buyer's nearest seaport.

International customer proof

Relationships measured in years, not orders

The clearest evidence a manufacturer can offer is a customer who is still buying a decade later.

The company behind the product

An organisation, not a trading desk

Go Green Exports (Pvt) Ltd was established in 2015 under the leadership of Managing Director Mr. Chameel Samaranayake, and has grown from early export operations into a diversified coir-based solutions manufacturer with dedicated management for quality, operations and logistics, finance and marketing.

Production, quality control, documentation and shipping coordination are handled by our own people. When a specification question comes back from your technical team, it goes to someone who works on the line — not to an agent.
